La Belle Arts Code of Conduct
At La Belle Arts (LBA), we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for all our students, teachers, and families. Our Code of Conduct ensures that everyone—whether you're a student, parent, or teacher—shares our core values of respect, kindness, and collaboration. Together, we build a community where everyone can thrive.
Mutual Respect
We believe that respect is the foundation of a positive and supportive learning environment. Everyone in the LBA community—students, parents, and teachers—should treat each other with kindness, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
For Students: We encourage our students to treat their peers, teachers, and the space with respect. We ask that students listen actively, engage with positivity, and support each other’s growth and creativity. Students are expected to follow all class instructions and remain focused during class to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.
For Parents: As valued partners in their child’s development, we ask parents to respect our class schedules, communicate concerns constructively, and trust our teachers to guide their child's progress. Your support helps create a positive experience for everyone.
For Teachers: Our teachers are passionate about providing the best education in a nurturing, safe environment. We expect them to set the highest standards of professionalism and to encourage and support each student’s personal journey.
Positive Behaviour
Communication: We believe that open, respectful communication is key to creating a harmonious environment. Whether in person or via email, we encourage constructive feedback and ask that all communication remains polite and respectful. If concerns arise, please feel free to reach out to our team—we are always here to listen and find solutions together.
Attendance and Punctuality: Consistency is key to a student’s success. We ask all students and parents to arrive on time, be prepared, and show commitment to the class. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know in advance—we understand that life happens, and we’ll do our best to help.
Safety and Wellbeing
The safety and wellbeing of all our students is our highest priority. We ask everyone to follow the necessary health and safety guidelines while on the premises. This includes respecting the space, following teacher instructions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Dress Code: We encourage students to wear clothing that allows freedom of movement and comfort. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for their class, with the correct uniform and footwear for the specific dance style being taught. Uniform guidelines are available on our website.
Classroom Etiquette: Students should follow the teacher’s instructions and avoid disruptions during class.
No Eating During Class: For safety reasons, students are not permitted to eat during class. We encourage students to bring their own water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the session.
No Nuts: To ensure the safety of all students, please do not bring any nuts to class or consume them during class time.
A Supportive, Creative Community
At LBA, we’re more than just a place to learn—we’re a family. We’re dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and welcome. Our community thrives because we all work together with kindness and mutual respect. We encourage students to celebrate each other’s successes, support each other, and create an atmosphere of positivity and creativity.
Why is Respect So Important?
Respect is the heart of our community. When mutual respect is practiced, everyone—students, parents, and teachers—can flourish. A positive environment nurtures creativity, builds confidence, and helps our students shine. Together, let’s continue building this wonderful community where kindness and creativity flourish!
Enforcement of the Code of Conduct
We believe in working together to uphold a positive environment for all. If any student or parent breaches this code of conduct, we will address the situation in a supportive and constructive way. If the behavior is disruptive or unsafe, LBA reserves the right to temporarily or permanently remove the individual from the class. In cases of serious breaches, the situation may be escalated and handled in accordance with our safeguarding policies.
Our goal is to maintain a safe, harmonious space for everyone, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making LBA a great place to learn and grow.
